What is this?
With all the recent book banning in the US, I realized there wasn't an easily searchable index of the various bans. So, I set out to create this site to improve the transparency around our current censorious moment.
There is a lot more I want to do – like add better filtering, include more information about bans, provide resources for activism, and more – but time is money. Any contribution you make can help me budget more time to this project.
If you aren't in a place where you can provide financial support, you can still help! Open Library is the free resource I use to fill in information about each book – as you poke around the site you may find gaps in the data. If you have time you can contribute corrections, descriptions, or cover art through them which helps more than just us.
